What to Expect

Then we'll hit the pool to get comfortable with your gear and practice essential skills like clearing your mask and recovering your regulator. Day two is when the real excitement begins. We'll head out for your first open water dives, usually at a nearby lake or coastal site. You'll put your new skills to the test and experience the thrill of breathing underwater in a natural environment. Expect to see fish, maybe some underwater plants, and definitely lots of bubbles!

Gear Talk

Don't stress about equipment - we've got you covered. You'll be fitted with a mask, fins, wetsuit, BCD (that's your buoyancy control device), regulator, and tank. We use top-notch gear that's well-maintained and regularly serviced. You'll learn how each piece works and how to set it up yourself. By the end of the course, you'll be a pro at gearing up. Just remember to bring a swimsuit, towel, and your sense of adventure!

What to Bring

We provide all the scuba gear, but there are a few things you'll need to bring: - Swimsuit - Towel - Sunscreen (reef-safe if we're diving in the ocean) - Water bottle - Snacks - Any medications you normally take - A positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Physical Requirements

You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer to scuba dive, but you should be comfortable in the water. Before we hit the open water, you'll need to: - Swim 200 meters (or 300 meters with mask, fins, and snorkel) - Float or tread water for 10 minutes If you're not quite there yet, don't worry! We can work with you to build up your water skills before the course.
